On August 12, 2021, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic between the Minister of Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic, Shykmatov A.N., and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Manal El-Sayed Yihia El-Shinnawi.
During the meeting, issues related to attracting and protecting investments were discussed. The Minister noted that the investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic is 80-90% yet to be revealed and suggested considering investment in the areas of mountain tourism, energy, and gold mining. He also invited Egyptian entrepreneurs to visit Kyrgyzstan to explore potential investment projects.
Ms. Manal El-Sayed Yihia El-Shinnawi noted that entrepreneurs from the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed interest in the Kyrgyz Republic; however, due to the pandemic, they were unable to visit Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the ambassador suggested considering the possibility of organizing a business meeting between the two countries.
