Today, October 1, Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in Turkmenistan's 2026 Investment Forum (TIF 2026) taking place in Ashgabat on October 1-2.
At the opening of the forum, Ravshanbek Sabirov highlighted the opportunities to expand economic and investment relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
"Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are united by fraternal relations, centuries-old historical ties, and the similarity of our traditions. Today, new opportunities are opening up for our countries to develop investment cooperation. Strengthening direct dialogue between government agencies and the business sector, implementing joint projects, and expanding mutual investments can give new impetus to the economic relations of the two countries."

He noted that Kyrgyzstan is continuing to improve investment legislation and support mechanisms for investors, develop public-private partnerships, and introduce digital tools for project accompaniment.
Among the promising areas are artificial intelligence, creative industries, renewable energy, as well as infrastructure and transport-logistics projects.
The priority areas of cooperation between the two countries include the development of trade-economic relations, including energy, oil and gas product delivery, textile industry, transport-logistics sector, and tourism.
Developing direct business contacts and implementing joint initiatives creates additional opportunities for business and contributes to strengthening economic ties in the region.
As a result, Ravshanbek Sabirov wished the forum participants fruitful discussions, reliable partners, and concrete practical results.
