In Ashgabat, during the Turkmen Investment Forum - 2026, Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with Turkmenistan's Minister of Finance and Economy, Mammetguly Astanagulov.
The meeting discussed issues of developing Kyrgyz-Turkmen economic cooperation, as well as opportunities for expanding direct business ties and implementing joint initiatives. Potential areas of cooperation included energy, oil and gas product supply, development of transport and logistics connections, and attracting investments.
Ravshanbek Sabirov noted that there are significant opportunities to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and emphasized the importance of developing direct dialogue between the state agencies and business representatives of both countries.
"There are significant opportunities to expand investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. It is important for us to strengthen direct dialogue between state agencies and the business community, create favorable conditions for implementing joint projects, and assist in developing new business connections. I believe that consistent efforts in this direction will create conditions for expanding investment ties between the two countries and opening new opportunities for business," said Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency.
Mammetguly Astanagulov noted that Turkmenistan is interested in further developing economic relations with Kyrgyzstan and expanding connections between state agencies and business representatives.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the working dialogue and assist in developing practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
