Today, on September 29, the Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Damirbek Bikulov, met with representatives of the World Bank Group.
The meeting was attended by Jayoung Jin, Senior Business Development Specialist at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and Ilyas Sarsenov, Senior Economist at the World Bank.
The parties discussed issues related to further developing cooperation in investment guarantees between the Kyrgyz Republic and the World Bank Group, including the possibilities of using MIGA and PBG instruments.
Practical applications of these instruments were considered with the aim of supporting investment activities, enhancing the investment attractiveness of projects, and expanding access to private capital.
Their use facilitates the reduction of investment risks, increases the investment attractiveness of projects, and expands opportunities for financing and attracting private capital.
As a result of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in continuing constructive dialogue and joint efforts to develop investment guarantee mechanisms and expand opportunities for attracting private investments to the Kyrgyz Republic.
