The Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nuradil Bayasov, met with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) led by Senior Manager for the Middle East, Central Asia, Turkey, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, Mr. Willem Due.
During the meeting, issues regarding the implementation of mechanisms for protecting investors' rights and attracting venture capital, as well as the development of the Investment Code, were discussed.
Nuradil Bayasov thanked the IFC for the support provided to the activities of the National Agency and also spoke about the work being done in this direction. In particular, the NAIA reviewed 16 complaints from investors in accordance with the mechanism, 40 percent of which were successfully resolved, allowing for the preservation of about 80 million US dollars in investments and approximately 300 jobs.
In addition, N. Bayasov talked about the work on developing a new Investment Code, which will include more detailed provisions on attracting and promoting investments.
