Kyrgyz-Japanese Business Dialogue Held in Bishkek

Yesterday, on November 28, 2023, the Kyrgyz-Japanese Business Forum took place in Bishkek. A Japanese delegation led by Mr. Masami Iijima, President of the Japan-Russia and New Independent States Trade Association (ROTOBO), arrived to participate in the forum. Representatives from companies such as 'ITOCHU Corporation', 'Sojitz Corporation', 'Toyota Tsusho Corporation', 'Marubeni Corporation', 'Mitsui&Co., LTD', 'MHI Russia LLC', and 'Mitsubishi Corporation' also participated in the meeting. More than 30 domestic companies specializing in information technology, industry and trade, energy, and the agro-industrial complex also took part in the forum. Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency, Zhalyn Zheanaliev, presented on investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan and outlined priority areas for cooperation with Japan in the economy sector. As Zhalyn Zheanaliev noted, the event was the first in the post-pandemic period and will serve to further develop trade and economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Japan. Presentations from government structures and domestic companies in the fields of information technology, mining, agriculture, and energy were showcased at the event. Presentations were made by the director of the IT Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azis Abakirov, advisor to the director of the State Enterprise 'Kyrgyzgeology', Arkadiy Rogalskiy, president of the Association of 'Green' Energy Stations, Kundus Kyrbashova, and the commercial director.
