Today, December 17, 2024, the Kyrgyz-Chinese consultative meeting took place.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, as well as more than 10 business representatives from China and 10 business representatives from Kyrgyzstan.
Damirbek Bikulov, Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted in his speech that in 2024, China became the leader in the volume of investments in the Kyrgyz Republic.
"The inflow of direct Chinese investments into the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic for the first 9 months of 2024 amounted to 221 million 502 thousand US dollars. It is also important to note that the railway 'China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan' will become the shortest route to the global market, connecting the East and West through the route 'China – Western Asia – Europe', passing through Kyrgyzstan. This will change the structure of the Eurasian transport network and, in the long term, symbolize the revival of the Great Silk Road," said Damirbek B.
