The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, today, July 8, held talks with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in a one-on-one format as part of his state visit to Tajikistan.
The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation on a wide range of topics, including the development of social infrastructure in certain regions and strengthening cooperation on multilateral platforms. Special attention was given to issues of interest to residents of border areas.
President Emomali Rahmon warmly welcomed President Sadyr Japarov and expressed satisfaction with the meeting. He noted that Kyrgyz-Tajik relations are on the rise, emphasizing the successful completion of the state border delimitation process and the active advancement of its demarcation work.
The leader of Tajikistan also noted the dynamic development of trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two countries. He pointed out the importance of close interaction.
