The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, today, July 8, as part of a state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, held talks with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in an expanded format in the city of Dushanbe.
The heads of the two states conducted a broad exchange of views on Kyrgyz-Tajik relations, deepening comprehensive cooperation, as well as on international and regional issues.
President Emomali Rahmon, welcoming President Sadyr Japarov, noted that the visit of the head of the Kyrgyz state confirms mutual interest in the stable and dynamic development of Tajik-Kyrgyz relations.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized that Tajikistan attaches particular importance to strengthening political dialogue and comprehensive development of inter-state cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic. He indicated that a wide range of issues of mutual interest would be considered.
"The decisions that will be made today are aimed at strengthening the foundations and bringing our relations to a new level."
