A competition has been announced for a large-scale PPP project in the field of renewable energy in the Kyrgyz Republic

The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Open Joint Stock Company "National Electric Networks of Kyrgyzstan" (NESC), and the Green Energy Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, announces a competition for the selection of a private partner for the PPP project to create a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 to 150 MW in the Kochkor district of the Naryn region. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, acts as the lead consultant for the PPP project deal. The project will be implemented under the PPP framework, and the private partner will be selected based on the results of a two-stage qualification request and competition winner selection process. In the first stage, participants in the competition in the qualification request (RFQ) will be able to submit applications in accordance with the conditions outlined in the RFQ document if they meet the legal, technical, and financial requirements.
