The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, met with the management of the large manufacturing company 'Knauf' during a working trip to Berlin.
'Knauf' is one of the leading manufacturers of building materials and construction systems in Europe and beyond. The company operates in over 90 countries and manages more than 80 companies producing raw stone and over 300 factories across all five continents. The company's annual turnover is approximately 15 billion euros.
The company 'Knauf' is actively engaged in its activities in the CIS countries. In the Central Asian region, the company began operations in 2001.
The head of state expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to discuss cooperation issues between 'Knauf' and Kyrgyzstan, as well as their intention to open a plant for the production of building materials in the country.
As noted by Sadyr Japarov, the construction industry is of strategic importance for the infrastructure development of Kyrgyzstan and achieving.
