The National Agency and China Energy Engineering Corporation Discussed Cooperation Opportunities in the Energy Sector

Today, September 14, 2023, a meeting took place between the Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Imanov and representatives of the Chinese company "China Energy Engineering Corporation." The company, specializing in the construction of power plants and the production of related equipment, expressed interest in the opportunities being created in Kyrgyzstan for investors. During the meeting, issues regarding benefits and preferences that could be provided to the company within the framework of bilateral cooperation were discussed. The Director of the National Agency emphasized that the President of the Kyrgyz Republic pays priority attention to creating favorable conditions for investors and noted that Kyrgyz-Chinese relations have reached a new level. The China Energy Engineering Corporation expressed its intention to construct a Solar Power Plant in the village of Toru-Ayghyr in the Issyk-Kul region with a capacity of 500 MW. Currently, research is being conducted.
