At the VII International Economic Forum "ISSYK-KUL 2023", one of the largest investment agreements in the history of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed for the construction of the Kazarman cascade of hydropower plants. This was reported by the director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Umbrial Temiraliyev.
A consortium of Chinese companies will implement the project worth over 2 billion US dollars for the construction of the Kazarman HPP, which will consist of 4 cascades with a total capacity of 1,160 MW, and it is expected to be put into operation by 2030.
In total, more than 11 agreements were concluded at the forum, including agreements on investment deals in the agricultural sector, energy, tourism, and the creation of technology parks in the territory of Asman.
"The forum became a platform for 400 entrepreneurs to establish sustainable contacts and launch investment transactions. The success of investment projects entirely depends on the efforts and endeavors of the entrepreneur behind each deal.
