Today, July 26, 2023, as part of the business forum "Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan", a meeting took place between the director of the National Agency, U.T. Temiraaliev, and the chairman of the board of AZPROMO, Yusif Abdullayev.
The strategic partners discussed opportunities for cooperation in various sectors of the economy, including trade, investment, tourism, energy, and other areas. Specific projects were identified that will be implemented within the framework of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Development Fund with a capital of 25 million US dollars.
Thus, the parties discussed the first meeting of the Fund and agreed to develop one pilot project.
Temiraaliev U. emphasized that new financing instruments are needed in the form of project financing, mezzanine financing, or hybrid financing.
According to him, the Kyrgyz economy is significantly underfunded in terms of direct investments and concessional loans, so this is a unique opportunity for the Fund.
