Today, March 24, the head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ravshanbek Sabirov, met with representatives of China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
The initial meeting took place during the Kyrgyz delegation's business trip to Beijing. The current visit of the company's representatives to Kyrgyzstan is a continuation of the agreements reached and aims to deepen bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the future of cooperation in implementing large infrastructure and investment projects between Kyrgyzstan and China State Construction Engineering Corporation was discussed. The parties focused on issues related to the construction and renovation of transport infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and railways, the development of energy facilities, utility systems, as well as projects in the field of real estate and comprehensive urban development. Additionally, the introduction of modern "green" and digital technologies in infrastructure construction was considered separately.
CSCEC representatives provided information about their experience in implementing international projects, including participation in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, and discussed possible formats for cooperation with the Kyrgyz side. In particular, the possibilities of using public-private partnership mechanisms, including PPP, BOT, and EPC formats were examined.
The delegation from the company was led by Tian Qian, the General Director of the Infrastructure Construction Division and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zhongjiang Infrastructure Construction and Development LLC.
"Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting strategic partners for the implementation of infrastructure projects. We view cooperation with CSCEC as an opportunity to introduce modern technologies, attract investments, and improve the quality of infrastructure in the country," noted Ravshanbek Sabirov.
As a result of the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest in developing long-term investment cooperation and stated their readiness to jointly develop specific projects for the construction and modernization of infrastructure in the Kyrgyz Republic.
