During the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) taking place in Xiamen, China, Meirimbek Koichumanov, Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, held a series of meetings with leaders of major Chinese companies and financial institutions, as well as representatives of foreign state and investment structures.
One of the significant meetings was with Wang Chunying, President of the Export-Import Bank of China. The parties discussed financing and supporting investment and infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, during a meeting with the management of Chengtun Mining, the possibilities for implementing the company's investment initiatives in Kyrgyzstan were explored.
Furthermore, Meirimbek Koichumanov spoke with representatives of major companies such as China Investment Corporation (CIC), Sinosure, Chinalco, Xiamen IPORT Group, Hithium, CATL, C&D, China Energy Engineering Group (CEEC), CSCEC, and others. Foreign partners were introduced to Kyrgyzstan's investment projects in the fields of energy, industry, mining, infrastructure, logistics, and modern technologies.
Meetings were also held with representatives from Finland, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and other countries participating in CIFIT in a G2G format. The discussions focused on developing intergovernmental relations, exchanging experiences in attracting investments, and exploring opportunities for joint project implementation.
Kyrgyzstan's participation in CIFIT-2026 contributes to expanding international investment cooperation, attracting new partners, and promoting specific projects.
