Following the first state visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, S.N. Japarov, to the People's Republic of China, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries has intensified.
On May 23, a Business Meeting took place in Urumqi (China) between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, B.E. Torobaev, and representatives of the business circles of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Kyrgyzstan, organized by the National Agency with the support of the Embassy and the Committee for the Promotion of International Trade of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
In his welcoming speech, B. Torobaev emphasized the importance of this event for the development of bilateral cooperation and strengthening business relations between the representatives of the two countries' businesses.
More than 20 companies from Kyrgyzstan and 80 companies from China participated in the panel session, representing sectors such as education, healthcare, hospitality, architecture and construction, information technology, logistics, and international translations.
