Business Forum in Riga: New Trade Opportunities between Central Asia and Latvia

Today, June 13, 2023, a Business Forum titled "New Trade Opportunities between Central Asia and Latvia" was held in Riga (Latvia). Within the framework of the business forum, meetings were held with leading companies from Latvia, B2B and B2G meetings with potential partners, importers, and distributors, as well as associations of freight forwarders and logistics and road carriers, with representatives of stevedoring companies. Additionally, Latvian distributors expressed interest in importing food products from Kyrgyzstan. It is important to note that the Kyrgyz Republic was represented by a delegation of 10 companies, food producers, as well as logistics companies. Following the business forum, the delegation also visited the Riga Free Port, the Liepaja Free Port, and the Klaipeda Port in Lithuania. During the visit, opportunities for providing warehouse facilities on preferential terms for further export to European Union countries were discussed. The possibilities of creating new forms of interaction between vehicles were also discussed.
