On June 24, 2021, a meeting took place between the Minister of Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic, A.N. Shykmatov, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Croatia, R. Shabanovich.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation. The Ambassador informed about the interest of major Croatian holdings in exploring opportunities for implementing hydropower projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, particularly projects for the construction of small hydropower plants with capacities ranging from 0.5 to 150 MW. The Ministry provided the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Croatia with investment proposals across various sectors of the economy. At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged contacts and expressed their intention to further develop cooperation.
