Today, August 28, the Kyrgyz-Chinese Investment Forum titled "Kyrgyzstan-China: On the Path of Joint Development and Prosperity" is taking place in Bishkek. About 300 representatives from government agencies, development institutions, financial organizations, and business sectors of Kyrgyzstan and China are participating in the event.
The Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China have been consistently developing their strategic partnership. Within the framework of the forum, issues such as expanding investment cooperation, industrial cooperation, localizing production, developing transport, energy, and logistics infrastructure, digitization, as well as introducing modern and "green" technologies are being discussed.
Our task today is not only to expand investment cooperation but also to turn it into specific projects, new productions, and long-term partnerships. Such meetings create opportunities for business representatives to directly discuss cooperation opportunities, find partners, and move from negotiations to practical solutions.
— Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic
During the event, bilateral B2B meetings are being held, where Kyrgyz and Chinese companies are presenting their projects and discussing partnership opportunities and the conditions for implementing joint initiatives. Signing investment agreements, memorandums, commercial contracts, and other cooperation documents is also planned.
The event is being held ahead of the upcoming visit of the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, to the Kyrgyz Republic, which will strengthen the economic ties between the two countries, expand direct connections between the business communities, and facilitate the implementation of joint projects.
The Kyrgyz-Chinese Investment Forum continues international events aimed at developing Kyrgyzstan's investment and economic cooperation with foreign partners. Under the presidency of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, an investment business forum titled "Kyrgyzstan - The Heart of Eurasia" was held in Bishkek, and in July, a Kyrgyz-Uzbek investment business forum took place.
Additionally, the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic co-organized a round table titled "Trade-Economic and Investment Cooperation between the Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia." The event discussed the prospects for developing interregional connections and strengthening trade-economic relations.
In the near future, the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council and the First Central Asia - Korea Business Summit are planned. An II Investment Forum titled "Central Asia and the Arab Gulf States" is also being considered for the fall.
Upcoming events will create additional opportunities to establish direct business connections, strengthen international cooperation, and implement joint initiatives.
