Today, October 5, the head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ravshanbek Sabirov, met with a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman led by Sheikh Al-Abbas bin Ibrahim Al-Harthi, head of the Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman. Representatives from the state bodies and organizations of both countries also participated in the meeting.
The meeting was held in an interdepartmental format with the participation of representatives from relevant state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic in the fields of economy, investment, trade, energy, transport, tourism, agriculture, and other priority sectors, as well as representatives from the National Investment Agency.
"Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting Omani investments for the implementation of promising projects in priority economic sectors. We strive to create favorable conditions for long-term partnerships, effectively accompany investors, and assist in implementing projects that will contribute to the development of production, infrastructure, and new technologies. I believe that expanding direct contacts with Omani investment institutions and businesses will create new opportunities for mutual investments."

The parties discussed the current state of Kyrgyz-Omani economic relations and the possibilities for further development. Priority areas for cooperation were identified as energy and renewable energy sources, tourism and resort infrastructure, agriculture and product processing, transport and logistics, aviation, as well as digitalization.
Issues regarding the establishment of a Kyrgyz-Omani investment development fund, attracting private capital from the Omani side, and developing direct contacts between the investment institutions and business communities of the two countries were also discussed.
To expand practical cooperation, it was proposed to intensify joint investment forums and mutual business missions. At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue promoting specific projects of mutual interest.
