The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic, led by the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev, participated in the IX World Investment Forum (World Investment Forum 2026) held in Doha, Qatar, organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in collaboration with the State of Qatar. The forum took place under the slogan "Investing in the Future." During the forum, Meirimbek Koichumanov, the Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with representatives of the Qatar Investment Authority in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Embassy in Qatar. The meeting discussed the prospects for developing investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar and the possibilities for implementing investment projects in Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz side presented the country's investment potential, priority sectors of the economy, and government support measures for investors. Representatives of the Qatar Investment Authority expressed interest in exploring promising directions for bilateral investment cooperation. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their collaboration on jointly developing and promoting mutually beneficial investment projects.
