The National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic met with representatives of the South Korean company HWAYA INC. During the meeting, the future of investment cooperation and the possibilities of establishing a manufacturing plant in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
The parties reviewed opportunities for developing industrial production, locating the enterprise in a free economic zone (FEZ), and expanding Kyrgyz-Korean investment cooperation.
HWAYA INC is considering the possibility of implementing a manufacturing project in the Kyrgyz Republic. The projected investment for the project amounts to 10 million US dollars. The meeting addressed issues such as selecting a site for production, ensuring the necessary infrastructure, and exporting products to the markets of Central Asian countries.
Previously, during a working visit to the Republic of Korea from September 16 to 22, 2026, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Investment Agency and HWAYA INC. The document aims to develop investment interaction, promote industrial initiatives, and strengthen cooperation in the field of free economic zones.
The meeting is an important step in continuing practical dialogue between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea, aimed at attracting investment to the country and developing industrial potential.
