The second session of the TurkIPAnet network aimed at developing practical cooperation among the investment agencies of Turkic states took place during the Second Azerbaijan Investment Forum in Baku.
The session was attended by Damirbek Bikulov, Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as leaders and representatives of investment agencies from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
Damirbek Bikulov noted that for international investors, entering the markets of the five countries today requires interaction with different investment systems. In this regard, he suggested exploring the possibility of creating a common investment 'pipeline' that would allow for joint promotion of projects, information exchange, and better coordination of work with investors.
Participants discussed the future activities of the TurkIPAnet network, which was established last year in Tashkent to strengthen cooperation among the investment agencies of the five countries. The main focus was on transitioning from experience exchange to practical cooperation mechanisms, including exchanging information about investment projects, attracting investors, developing cross-border initiatives, and forming regional value chains.
Within the framework of the countries' presentations, issues of developing mutual investments, promoting investment opportunities in international markets, implementing cross-border projects, and interacting with potential investors were addressed. At the end of the session, participants identified priority areas and emphasized the need to move towards specific joint actions within the TurkIPAnet framework.
