General information

Kyrgyzstan occupies a strategic position on the Silk Road between China, Russia and Europe. The country is a key transit corridor for China–Central Asia–Europe freight. The China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway project will open a new multimodal route.

International road and rail corridors, three international airports (Bishkek Manas, Osh, Tamchy) and a developing network of logistics centres are operational. Trade routes connect the country with Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

EAEU membership provides a unified customs space with Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia, simplifying transit procedures.
