Today, on September 5, the 6th meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council was held in Cholpon-Ata with the participation of representatives from the state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, the business community, and relevant organizations.

The meeting was opened by Adilbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Head of the President's Administration, who is the co-chair from the Kyrgyz side. Reinhard Krämmel, the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bavaria and Thuringia and co-chair of the Business Council, delivered a congratulatory speech from the German side.

During the meeting, participants discussed the current state and future of Kyrgyz-German trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as the possibilities for implementing joint projects. Issues related to attracting German investments, introducing modern technologies, and creating favorable conditions for doing business were addressed.

"Kyrgyzstan is interested in expanding cooperation with German businesses and attracting investments. It is important for us to create favorable conditions for developing long-term partnerships, introducing modern technologies, enhancing production, implementing joint investment projects, and bringing domestic products to new markets," noted Ravshanbek Sabirov, the head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The parties considered cooperation opportunities in energy and renewable energy sources, agriculture and processing, digitalization and IT, green economy, tourism, transport and logistics, as well as the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and training qualified personnel.

Additionally, the expansion of Kyrgyz products to the markets of Germany and the European Union, the development of direct contacts among entrepreneurs, and the organization of business missions and B2B meetings were discussed.

As a result of the 6th meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council, the parties agreed to continue work in the following areas:

  • expanding investment cooperation in energy, agriculture and processing, green economy, tourism, transport and logistics, digitalization, and IT sectors, and promoting promising joint projects;
  • activating direct interaction between representatives of the business communities of the two countries through the organization of business forums, business missions, B2B meetings, and other events;
  • assisting in the development of trade and promoting Kyrgyz products to the markets of Germany and the European Union by improving product quality, enhancing the certification system, and introducing international standards;
  • developing cooperation in the field of technologies, innovations, and training of qualified personnel, including support for startups and digital entrepreneurship, as well as interaction among educational institutions, relevant organizations, and businesses;
  • strengthening the role of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council as a platform for practical interaction, exchanging information on promising projects, and developing joint solutions on relevant issues.

The parties expressed their interest in further strengthening Kyrgyz-German economic partnership and implementing the agreements reached through new investments and joint projects.
