In the framework of developing international cooperation, the National Agency for Investments under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic is participating in the Regional Ecological Summit 2026 taking place in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The summit serves as a high-level international platform uniting Central Asian countries to address ecological issues, respond to climate change, and attract investments for 'green' projects.
On April 23, 2026, the Deputy Head of the National Agency, Jalyn Zhenaliev, delivered a report at the green investment forum titled 'Transition to Green in Central Asia.'
In his speech, he addressed the issues of greening industry in the Kyrgyz Republic and emphasized the necessity of introducing practical mechanisms for modernizing enterprises. He particularly highlighted the use of best available technologies (BAT) as one of the main directions.
Jalyn Zhenaliev also discussed a number of priority initiatives aimed at reducing environmental burdens and enhancing the efficiency of the industrial sector.
Approximately 1,500 delegates are participating in the summit, including representatives from government agencies, international organizations, the expert community, business, and academia from Central Asian countries.
