The National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to work steadily to implement agreements reached during President Sadyr Japarov's official visit to the Italian Republic. The development of international investment cooperation is considered one of the priority directions of the country's foreign economic policy.
An important step in strengthening the legal framework for investment cooperation is the ratification of the Agreement on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic, which is nearing completion in the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. This document aims to create favorable and predictable conditions for investors, as well as to strengthen investment partnership between the two countries.
To promote joint initiatives, the National Agency accompanies agreed projects and maintains a regular dialogue with Italian partners at institutional and business levels.
Cooperation with TRITOR Company
Meetings were held at the National Agency with a delegation from the Italian company TRITOR, which included leaders of local self-government bodies from the cities of Tokmok, Karakol, Osh, Kara-Balta, and Bishkek, as well as representatives of relevant state structures.

During the visit, landfills for solid waste in the cities of Tokmok and Kara-Balta were presented to the Italian side as opportunities for project implementation. The preliminary investment volume of the project is estimated at 10–12 million euros. The Italian side expressed interest in leasing the land for up to 30 years.
Additionally, the possibility of supplying equipment for medical waste recycling to one of the medical institutions in the Chui region was discussed. The estimated cost of the equipment is around 700,000 US dollars. The company expressed its readiness to consider special conditions for delivery, taking into account the social significance of the project.
Currently, the parties are continuing consultations on preparing the investment agreement.

The National Agency also met with the Valli Estensi company, which specializes in tomato production. The investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, including opportunities in the agro-industrial sector, was presented to the Italian side. The company expressed interest in further exploring the prospects for cooperation.
Meetings were also held with representatives of Unimpresa, where possible directions for cooperation and formats for business partnerships were discussed.
Meetings were attended by the Deputy Head of the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan, the Director of the Agency for the Promotion and Internationalization of Italian Companies Abroad, and representatives of the consular section of the Italian Embassy. The Italian side noted that the Kyrgyz Republic is among the 15 priority countries for Italy and expressed interest in further deepening economic cooperation.
