The Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ravshanbek Sabirov, met with the Head of the World Bank Office in Kyrgyzstan, Hugh Riddell.
During the meeting, priority areas of cooperation aimed at establishing a modern, sustainable, and effective regulatory framework in the investment sphere were discussed.
The parties addressed issues of improving mechanisms for protecting investors' rights, enhancing the sustainability and predictability of investment regulation, introducing best international practices in developing the investment climate, developing state support instruments for investments, including mechanisms that ensure sustainability and stimulation, as well as optimizing procedures for interaction between investors and government agencies.
Particular attention was paid to increasing the competitiveness of the national economy, reducing administrative barriers, and aligning departmental regulatory acts with the goals of state investment policy and international standards, including the recommendations of World Bank representatives.
Ravshanbek Sabirov emphasized the importance of the expert and advisory support of World Bank representatives in the process of reforming investment legislation.
As a result of the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest in further deepening cooperation in the field of investment development and supporting the private sector in the country.
