On the visit of the Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the "Karakol" and "Naryn" SEZs

On October 9-10, 2025, the Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, D.J. Bikulov, visited the Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions, where he familiarized himself with the activities of the Main Directorates of the "Karakol" and "Naryn" free economic zones. During meetings with the zone leadership, issues of operation, results for the first nine months of 2025, and plans for further development of industrial, logistical, and tourist infrastructure were discussed. Special attention was given to measures for attracting domestic and foreign investments, enhancing management efficiency, and improving the regulatory framework for SEZ activities. The Deputy Director emphasized the importance of activating investment activities at the regional level and the role of free economic zones as an effective tool for stimulating business activity and creating new jobs. The heads of the Main Directorates provided information on operating enterprises, ongoing projects, and plans for expanding production capacities. During the discussions, issues of interaction between the Main Directorates and local authorities and state structures were raised, and possible directions for further support from the National Agency were identified. As a result of the visit, recommendations were made for further development of free economic zones and strengthening coordination with central and local government bodies to enhance the investment attractiveness of the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
