Progress on the Construction of a Modern Five-Star Hotel on the Shores of Issyk-Kul

The construction of a modern five-star hotel on the shores of Issyk-Kul is ongoing. The implementation of this large-scale project by Azerbaijan is an important step in developing the tourism infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic and reflects the strengthening of bilateral investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. On October 8, 2025, Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic D.ж. Bikulov visited the construction site and familiarized himself with the progress of work. During the visit, the parties noted the high level of interaction and confirmed their readiness for further constructive cooperation to successfully complete the project. The National Agency reports ongoing comprehensive support from the Azerbaijani side. Azerbaijan expressed gratitude for the support provided and emphasized the effectiveness of interaction in the project implementation process. The future five-star hotel will occupy an area of 17.2 hectares. The modern building, with a total area of 29,900 square meters, will consist of seven floors and over 120 rooms of various categories. A wide range of services and entertainment for guests is planned, including a swimming pool, hammam, bars, water park, bowling, and football field, providing comfortable conditions for recreation. The project will pay special attention to developing local human resources. Professional training of personnel in Azerbaijan is planned to implement international service standards. Currently, about 200 jobs have been created, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region and the employment of the local population. Azerbaijan intends to complete construction by the end of the second quarter of 2026 and put the facility into operation. The new hotel complex will help attract tourists and further strengthen the investment attractiveness of the Kyrgyz Republic.
