On April 25, 2025, a working meeting took place in Bishkek between the Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (NAI) J.M. Jeenaliyev and the Head of the Eurasia Division of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Mr. William Thompson.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in the investment policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Particular attention was paid to the issue of the possible accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the OECD Declaration on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises as part of the implementation of the Action Plan for the adoption of the UN Guidelines by 2027.
The Kyrgyz Republic confirmed its readiness to continue an active dialogue with the OECD and expressed interest in further expanding the partnership, including the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.
