General information

Light industry is one of the largest sectors of Kyrgyzstan's economy, providing over 45,000 jobs. The country is the third-largest clothing exporter in the CIS. Main products: knitwear, outerwear, underwear, sportswear.

A unique advantage — dual duty-free access: to the EAEU (180 million consumers) and the EU via GSP+ (450 million consumers, over 6,200 tariff lines duty-free).

Bishkek and Osh are the largest garment production centres with over 2,000 enterprises. The state supports the creation of garment clusters with ready infrastructure.
