General information

Kyrgyzstan's healthcare sector is undergoing reform and modernisation. The population of 7.4 million is served by a system of public and private medical facilities. The private medicine and medical tourism sectors are growing.

The country is actively attracting investment in private clinics, diagnostic centres and pharmaceutical production. Competitive medical service prices attract patients from neighbouring countries — Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan.

The government is implementing the Healthy Person — Prosperous Country programme (2019–2030), focused on healthcare digitalisation, telemedicine development and workforce training.
