A new life for the old market
On September 5, 2022, an agreement was signed between the State Enterprise "Turatali Markets" and the LLC "Kara Suu Trading Market" for a public-private partnership (PPP) project.
The amount of expected investments exceeded 1 billion soms.
This project is long-term and aims to modernize existing trading areas and construct a new commercial-hotel facility.
Currently, the existing infrastructure of the State Enterprise "Turatali Markets" does not meet modern requirements. There is a need to create modern infrastructure with water supply and sewage systems, medical and pharmacy points, and public catering facilities.
In addition, the new project, which costs more than 1 billion soms, provides for the creation of all conditions for trade in compliance with sanitary and environmental standards, and the opening of routes connecting the market with all districts of the region.
The private partner is expected to pay an annual fee to the State.
