The head of state listened to information about the current activities of the Ministry and the measures being taken to improve investment attractiveness and increase the inflow of foreign investments into the economy of Kyrgyzstan. In the first half of 2021, the inflow of foreign direct investments increased by 95.4%. Currently, 5 projects worth 323.5 million US dollars are under consideration. In 2021, 2 projects were launched with a total amount of 75 million US dollars. It was noted that the Ministry is working on reforming the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, developing a new version of the Investment Law, launching Kyrgyz-Uzbek and Kyrgyz-Hungarian development funds, and much more. At the same time, Almambet Shykmamatov announced his intention to participate in the upcoming elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, for which he is submitting a resignation letter from his position as Minister of Investments. President Sadyr Japarov expressed his readiness to accept Almambet Shykmamatov's resignation and thanked him.
