The head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ravshanbek Sabirov, participated in the ceremonial opening of the solar power plant in Issyk-Kul region, attended by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
The solar power plant is located in the village of Kyzyl-Oryk in the Toru-Aigyr-Tamchy rural area of the Issyk-Kul district and is being implemented by ROX Energy Global through the LLC "RECA". The project is one of the largest in the renewable energy sector in the Kyrgyz Republic and involves the phased construction of energy-producing facilities with a total installed capacity of 1900 MW.
Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate up to 3.5 billion kWh of electricity annually. The total investment amounts to approximately 1.4 billion USD.
During the implementation of the first phase of the project, up to 800 specialists were involved in the construction works. After the facility is fully completed, approximately 200 permanent jobs are planned to be created.
To support the implementation of the project, the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted investment project accompaniment work in collaboration with state bodies. This included the preparation and establishment of the Investment Agreement, as well as providing customs benefits stipulated by the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic to ensure the timely implementation of the project.
The implementation of such investment projects contributes to strengthening the country's energy potential, introducing modern technologies, creating new jobs, and attracting long-term investments to the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
