As part of working with investors, employees of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the mayor's office of Karabalta, and the Akbashat district administration, visited the oil refinery owned by China Petroleum Company 'Junda' LLC to familiarize themselves with the progress of modernization work.

The event was organized at the official invitation of the company and investor, the Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Corporation of China, to get acquainted with the implementation of the capital repair and modernization project of the operating plant.

The modernization of the oil refinery with a capacity of 800,000 tons per year is one of the major investment projects being implemented in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The project is being implemented under the Investment Agreement signed between the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and 'Central Asia Energy Company' LLC, as well as an Additional Agreement that provides for increasing the investment amount to 193.75 million US dollars and completing the project by July 31, 2026.

During the visit, participants familiarized themselves with the current stage of construction and installation works and the readiness level of production facilities.

Representatives of state agencies emphasized the importance of the project in developing the region's industry, enhancing the depth of oil processing, creating new jobs, and strengthening the country's energy security.
