On March 14, 2024, Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhibek Abdullaeva participated in business meetings with representatives of the Assembly of Exporters of Turkey (TİM) at the Sheraton Hotel in Bishkek.
In her speech at the event, Deputy Director Zhibek Abdullaeva noted that in recent years, Kyrgyz-Turkish relations have reached a new level in all areas.
In particular, according to information published by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey from January to September 2023 reached 1.12 billion US dollars. Of this, exports of goods from the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey exceeded 201.373 million US dollars, increasing by 129.9%. Imports of goods to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 918.159 million US dollars, increasing by 41.6%.
At the same time, Turkey became the largest investor in the economy of Kyrgyzstan in 2022, with a total investment volume from Turkey amounting to 341.6 million US dollars.
