The Kyrgyz delegation led by A.Orozbekov, Director of the State Agency for Investments and Export Promotion under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic (SAIEP) visited Tokyo.
September 14, 2017 in Japan second Kyrgyz-Japanese forum on quality infrastructure in Tokyo, Japan washeld. This forum organized during the first Kyrgyz-Japanese forum, held on October 5, 2016 in the Hyatt Regency Bishkek hotel, which was attended by 16 major Japanese companies.
The second Kyrgyz-Japanese Forum is held by the State Agency for Investments and Export Promotion under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic along with the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.
The purpose of the event is to strengthen and expand mutually beneficial economic contacts between countries, to present promising investment projects, to explore new opportunities for cooperation.
During the forum, a presentation on the investment climate and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic was made by Orozbekov A., Director of the State Agency for Investments and Export Promotion under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Director emphasized that Japan is an important partner of Kyrgyzstan in the Asia-Pacific region. This year, the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
"Infrastructure development is one of the main tasks of our state, which will ensure the development of economic sectors and will serve as an important support for the inflow of foreign investment into the country.
Now there are all conditions for the implementation of joint initiatives and projects. Moreover, globalization does not give us time for long thinking and pushes for quick and dynamic decisions. The Government of Kyrgyzstan is doing its utmost to create stable and favorable conditions for business development in the country by creating a reliable system of guarantees for investors.
The Kyrgyz Republic has a favorable investment climate, but we are actively working on creating the best business climate in the region. It should be noted that this issue, as well as the consolidation of a positive investment image of the country abroad is given special attention, "the director of the SAIEP informed.
It should be noted about the opportunities offered in the framework of cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union. This integration association with the participation of Kyrgyzstan operates on the basis of universal WTO rules and covers a capacious market with 182 million consumers.

From the Japanese side, 40 representatives of 20 companies engaged in the implementation of projects in the field of transport, information and communication technologies, and construction were involved.
Within the framework of the forum, the Kyrgyz side made proposals on cooperation in such areas as: urban infrastructure, including the Smart City project, transport infrastructure, information technologies, including the national program Taza Koom, prevention of emergencies.
The results of the second Kyrgyz-Japanese forum were two large-scale events:
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed to promote investments in quality infrastructure and continue cooperation between the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to promote investments in quality infrastructure, promote cooperation between relevant departments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan, continue cooperation in the field of infrastructure and establish a joint Kyrgyz-Japanese working group on quality infrastructure to promote joint investment projects.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic and Fujitsu Limited on cooperation in the field of management in the field of electronic government. The cooperation of the parties is aimed at implementing projects in the field of e-government within the framework of the national program of digital transformation "Taza Koom".
