The Issyk-Kul Economic Forum is held on an annual basis from 2014 and becomes a traditional event in the economic life of Kyrgyzstan and has great importance for the Kyrgyz business community.
The Economic Forum once again demonstrated the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic for a mutually beneficial dialogue with the international community on the main issues of the economy and business development, as well as investment issues, the promotion of new ideas and projects. The site of the forum is always open to all, for whom it is important to maintain business activity and constructive business dialogue.
The main agenda of the forum was discussion of new opportunities and perspectives, opening up to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. At present, the Unified Energy System is 3.2% of world GDP (2.2 trillion US dollars by the end of 2014), one of the largest world markets (population - 182.7 million or 2.5% of the world population), the largest territory in the world (more than 20 million square kilometers). Integration processes within the framework of the EEU can become one of the drivers of growth in industrial production. In this regard, in order to successfully compete in the new economic realities and not stay away from the formation of global trade chains, one must find a place in global trade and provide space.
The Eurasian Economic Union is an economic integration association that allows expanding the borders of national economies and promoting the creation of unified rules and standards for all participants in the single market.
Within the framework of the forum the Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev spoke. First, he greeted all participants of the economic forum. He also thanked the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambaev for the initiative and support in holding the annual Issyk-Kul economic forum.
"Trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China is developing against the backdrop of the active implementation of practical measures to realize the concept of" One Belt - One Way ", which includes initiatives to create the" Economic belt of the Silk Road "and the" Sea Silk Road of the XXI century ", which provide great opportunity for broad cooperation between the PRC and the countries of the Eurasian and Asian-Pacific regions, in particular, in transport and infrastructure sphere.
The implementation of the ambitious Silk Road project can breathe new life not only into the history of China's economic growth, but also in the development of the creation of the Big Eurasia project.
The intersection of interests and the coincidence of general economic goals create conditions for integration of promising projects of the EAEC and the Economic belt of the Silk Road. Successful implementation of the EAGE liaison - The Economic belt of the Silk Road can strengthen the position of the EAEC as a bridge between the EU and China, and will strengthen the positions of the member countries in dialogue with them. To achieve these goals, the countries of the EEU need to build a consolidated position regarding the Silk Road project and the further directions of its development, "the minister said.
At the end of his speech at the opening of the Issyk-Kul 2017 forum, the Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev emphasized that the country has created the most liberal tax regime. The income tax and income tax rates are 10%, VAT 12%, which compares favorably with similar rates in neighboring countries of the Kyrgyz Republic such as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China.
